tread the board

とても興味深い内容の記事でした。記事も面白かったのですが、日本語で舞台の役者を経験すること、舞台に出ることを「舞台を踏む」や、自分の腕前を披露するのに相応しい場所で演技や発表などをすることを「檜舞台に立つ(を踏む)」というように、英語でもtread the boardと言うのですね(このboardは舞台の床のことです)。こういった言葉を見つけるととたんに嬉しくなります。(オセロー)
