Chanquet told the police that he had drunk at about three places starting around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and that he had left the last one around 6 a.m. on Sunday.
The 30-year-old man who lives in the apartment was not home. But an acquaintance there saw Chanquet entering a bedroom where he went to sleep.
Immediately after the arrest, Chanquet told the police that a woman he came to know while drinking allowed him to sleep at the man's apartment.
He also said he was so drunk that he didn't remember how he entered the apartment, according to the official.
