以下の英文の太文字になっているwelcomingの和訳ですが，2通りの答えが考えられると思いました。
Japan were limited to a handful of half chances in the first 25 minutes and they went closest to breaking the deadlock through Daisuke Suzuki, who forced a smart save out Amsif with a header just before the break.

まず一つ目が「待っていましたと言わんばかりにAmsifの腕に落ちてきた」です。動画も見てこの場面を確認しましたが，GKは最後までボールから目を離していませんでした。そこに着目すると上のような訳し方になるのではと思いました。

二つ目が「Amsifの腕に吸い込まれていった」です。一つ目の訳を違った言い方にすると，こうなるのではと思います。

試合はYoutubeでしか見ていませんが、モロッコのGKはとても素晴らしいパフォーマンスを見せていましたね。ですが，日本はもう少しシュートの精度を上げていくべきかなと感じました。（Sugiuchi）
