はい、お察しの通りUGは月曜日から体調を崩し、今も絶食、禁煙（これはのぞましい）が続き、今日あたりからやっと短時間ですが、パソコンに向かうようになれました。
仕事をまかしている「prospective 院生」には心配をおかけしました。明日こそは研究室に行きます。また、メールやお葉書、お手紙などのコミュニケーションが滞っておりましたが、ぼちぼちお返事などをするようになりましたので、お心のあたりの方は今、少しお待ち下さい。

写真は懐かしい山口の春を告げる秋吉台の山焼きです（MDN）。total burnoutなんて、ぎくっとするようなleadがついていますが、確かに古き衣を焼き捨てないと新芽は生えてきません。わたしもウイルスなんぞははやく焼き捨てて、春を待ちたいものです。（UG）

Fire crawls across the grasslands of the Akiyoshi plateau in Mine, Yamaguchi Prefecture, after the grass was set alight on March 13, 2012. Some 5,500 tourists and amateur photographers turned out for the annual event. The plateau is also the site of Japan's largest karsts, or formations of large limestone rocks poking out of the ground. The annual burning event is said to date back about 650 years, and the fires consume about 1,500 hectares of grassland. (Mainichi)
