2011年度 明海大学通訳コンテスト実施要領
Meikai University Interpreting Contest 2011
日時：2012年1月21日（土）
場所：明海大学 〒259-8550 千葉県浦安市明海1丁目
講演：国際教養大学教授 同時通訳者 小松達也 先生 「通訳の仕事と勉強法」
通訳実演：東京外国語大学教授 鶴田知佳子先生
審査員：小松達也先生、浅野輝子先生、鶴田知佳子先生、柴原智幸先生、中島直美先生
アクセス：京葉線、武蔵野線「新浦安」駅徒歩10分、東西線「浦安」駅バス15分
資格：通訳に興味のある大学学部生、英検準１級程度以上、TOEIC800点程度以上
応募方法：件名に：「通訳コンテスト出場応募」と氏名、
本文に：氏名、大学名、住所、電話、メールアドレス、英検またはTOEIC,TOEFL,IELTSの最高得点、推薦して下さる先生のご氏名、懇親会（無料）のご参加希望を記載し、メールでお送りください。

プログラム Program
１３:００ー１３：３０ 開会式、挨拶、ルールの説明 Opening Ceremony, Greetings, Explanation of Rules
１３：３０ー１６：３０ コンテスト（休憩含む）Contest (Including breaks), 講演Lecture
１６：３０−１７：００ 表彰式 Awards Ceremony, , 模範パフォーマンスModel Performance
１７：００−１８：００ 懇親会 Light Dinner Reception
コンテストは2ラウンド方式で行う。第一ラウンドは筆記用具と定型のメモ用紙（当日壇上に用意）が使用可、第二ラウンドは電子辞書、配布資料、その他の資料、単語リスト、メモ等が使用可。通訳時間は最大もとの音声のおよそ２倍の時間以内とする。
There will be two rounds. Pens/pencils and designated memo paper (provided at the desk on stage) will be allowed in the first round. Electronic dictionaries, distributed documents, other documents, word lists, and memos are all allowed during the second round. The maximum time allocated to each segment will be approximately twice as long as the original statement.
第一ラウンド
英語から日本語方向への（10−30秒ほどの）発言を2回、日本語から英語方向への（10−30秒ほどの）発言2回を通訳する。※発言時間は参加チームの数によって上下する。
First Round
Participant will interpret four times – two times from English to Japanese, and two times from Japanese to English. (10-30 seconds, depending on the number of teams).

Meikai University Interpreting Contest 2011
第二ラウンド（決勝ラウンド）
得点数が高い3名が決勝ラウンドに進む。
生のニュースを英語から日本語方向へ（30秒−240秒ほどの）2回、日本語から英語方向へ（40秒ほどの）通訳する。各音声は二回ずつ流れる。
Second Round (Finals)
The top three contestants will advance to the final round. Each participant will interpret news drawn from actual news broadcasts from English to Japanese twice, and Japanese to English twice. Segments will vary from about 30-240 seconds. Each segment will be played twice.

At the first round, participants will draw lots to choose their theme. Participants will interpret in order from theme 1-12. The top three teams will advance to the final round. At the second round, participants will draw lots to choose their themes from either block 1-3, 4-6, or 7-9. Participants will interpret in numerical order. In the final round, materials will be distributed immediately before each segment. Participants are free to use the materials during interpretation during the second round. No materials will be distributed for the first round.

１． 声の大きさ Volume of voice
２． 滑舌のよさ・歯切れのよさ Articulation
３． 信頼できそうかどうか Reliability, Credibility
４． 堂々としているかどうか Boldness
５． 服装 Dress
６． すぐに始め、時間をかけずに終わることができるかどうか Time required until onset, and time required overall
７． 表現が丁寧かどうか、カジュアル過ぎないか Politeness of expression (not too casual)
B.正確さ Accuracy
１． 抜けや誤訳の有無 Failure to interpret the full statement, mistakes
２． わかりやすさ Understandability
３． 文法の正確さ Grammatical accuracy
４． アクセント・イントネーション Accent, Intonation
A.とB.を総合的に評価する。 A and B will be evaluated comprehensively
