写真の女性，テイラー・モンセンは海外ドラマのGossip Girlに出演し，一躍有名になります。そして彼女は女優であると同時に，パンクバンドの歌手でもあります。ところが先日スコットランドでのステージでなにやら問題が起こったようです。以下はheatworld.comからの引用です。

注目したのはhas a bone to pick withです。boneを辞書で引いてみるとhave （got） a bone to pick with Oというイディオムで，「〈人〉に〔・・・の件で〕苦情がある，不平がある〔about〕」とあります（『ジーニアス英和辞典』第3版，大修館書店）。LDOCEにはspoken used to tell someone that you are annoyed with them and want to talk about itと載っていました。
なぜスコットランドが彼女に対して苦情があるのでしょうか。それはステージでの彼女の発言でした。彼女はGlasgowがEnglandにある都市だと思っていたようです。以前，gacha先輩がBritishとEnglishの記事の中でも書かれているように，同じイギリスという国の中にあっても，ScotlandとEnglandは全く別の国です。
